Just last week the Mien and Mini Me crew partnered with Aveda and created some fabulous looks backstage for the David Jones Spring Summer preview.

The brief was ‘perfectly effortless but bold’. And for most of the models this translated to a modern take on the ‘classic bun’.

Using Vegan friendly Aveda hair care we kept a very natural, yet individualised look for each model.

Achieve the look at home with our backstage tips:

Apply  Aveda’s Rinsless Refresh to your roots, then Aveda’s Heat Relief Thermal Protector & Conditioning Mist to your ends.
If your hair is fine, use Aveda’s Volumizing Tonic at the roots instead for some extra grit and body.  
If you have thicker hair,  Aveda Smooth Infusion Nourishing Crème is perfect to help control flyaways.

Using your fingers, blow dry your hair from roots to ends on low speed but high heat.
Once the texture is set, pull back your hair using your fingers for a more ‘lived in’ look and secure into a low bun at the nape.
