Tips To Staying Healthy with Vita-sol

Vita-sol’s secret weapon to having you glowing and radiant over the silly season and supporting gut and liver health is to mix the Vita-sol Infinity and Purity together. Mix one heaped teaspoon of Infinity with one heaped teaspoon of Purity with a small amount of water and take as a shot every morning. If you have been over indulging on rich fatty foods or alcohol take a shot of Purity in the evening before bed and have your Infinity/Purity shot in the morning when you wake up.

All things in moderation.

Remember it is Christmas after all, a time of celebration not deprivation. If you really want slice that of Pavlova or creamy cocktail have it and enjoy it. If you completely deprive yourself it is not sustainable, you will end up giving in after one too many champers devouring the entire left overs straight from the fridge!

Keep up the veggies.

Eat a little of what you fancy but be sure to keep up the plant based foods. The more diverse the plant foods that you eat help, the more you will be helping to keep your gut, skin and body healthy. Aim to eat at least 40 different plant foods a week including fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, legumes, nuts and seeds and remember to include a variety of different colours.

Portion control.

Take small portions and move away from the nibbles. If you sit right next to the buffet or cheese platter you are likely to eat more food. Help yourself to a serve and then move away.

Be mindful of how much alcohol you are drinking.

Drinking too much alcohol is one of the worst things we can do when it comes to gut and skin health. Pace yourself when it comes to alcohol, avoid drink top ups so that you can monitor how much you are drinking and have a glass of water in between drinks. If you are going out for drinks have a light meal before drinking to help protect the stomach.

Keep your routine.

If you have had a big night or an indulgent weekend it is important to get right back on track the next day. If you usually exercise, meditate or attend yoga classes aim to stick to your regular routine. When we are on holiday it can be easy to fall out of routine such as skipping breakfast or exercise which can result in a lowered self-esteem and over eating later in the day. Routine. Routine. Routine.

The most important thing to remember is to relax, have fun and not to be too obsessive about what you are eating or drinking. Having a little splurge now and again is not going to have any major long term negative health implications it is what we do every day for the rest of the year that really counts. Go easy on yourself.
