It’s that time of year where most of us over indulge in a cocktail or two! Not only can this impact our energy levels, but also affects our skin health. Drinking too much booze can cause long-term effects on your skin as well as your waistline. Hydration is key. Alternate your drinks with a glass of water. This will not only help slow down the rate of alcohol consumption, but it will also ensure you are staying hydrated through the night, lessening tomorrow's sore head.
Choose clear spirits such as gin and vodka over darker spirits such as whiskey and rum. There is a higher quantity of congeners found in darker spirits. Congeners may stimulate the body to release stress hormones, such as norepinephrine and epinephrine. These can cause inflammatory responses in the body that lead to fatigue and other hangover symptoms.
Never ever drink on an empty stomach. Have a smoothie or a light snack before going out.
Your go-to throughout the party season!
