DMK's cold therapy is here!
We are super excited to announce that DMK’s cold therapy known as CRYO PRO - X is now offered at Mien! This facial therapy utilises thermal homeostasis to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. The top layer of dead skin cells freeze, fracture and fall away when exposed to polylactic and glycolic acid in cold temperatures whilst protecting the healthy living cells beneath.
Who is this treatment suitable for?
The Cryo Pro-X treatment is suited for skin experiencing dermatitis, acne, rosacea, and other inflamed conditions. It is also ideal for those with hyperpigmentation and advanced sun damaged skin.
What is cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy, aka “cold therapy,” is a procedure in which the body is exposed to extremely cold temperatures for a number of minutes. Cryotherapy can be beneficial even after just one session, however it works best when done frequently.
What are its benefits, and what results should you expect to see?
Following a cryotherapy session, the blood vessels dilate. This procedure oxygenates the blood before distributing it throughout the body, carrying nutrients and enzymes that promote healing. This may help to boost collagen production, which enhances the skin's suppleness and firmness. The immune system may be strengthened and toxins may be eliminated from the body through the lymphatic system, which may aid in lessening the visibility of cellulite, fine lines, and wrinkles. When your session is over, you will likely notice a tighter, more radiant complexion!
What ingredients are used in DMK’s Cryo Pro-X formular?
Polylactic acid: The "super ingredient" polylactic acid (PLLA) is utilised to create dissolvable sutures, dermal fillers, and injectables that plump the face and promote the creation of collagen. It is biocompatible and helps restore a youthful contour while making fine lines and wrinkles less visible.
Glycolic acid: a fast-penetrating alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) helps remove extracellular buildup and surface cells. In order to enhance barrier function, soften the skin, reduce signs of photoaging, and encourage cell turnover, it functions as a water binder and draws liquid into the epidermis.
Camellia sinensis leaf extract (green tea): Contains vitamins A, B2, C, and Green tea is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, photo-protective, and contains polyphenol compounds that inhibit tyrosinase and lighten the pigment. It also contains catechin, an antioxidant and astringent that controls sebum production and reduces pore size.
Cocos nucifera oil (coconut): Coconut oil is an occlusive oil of medium-chain fatty acids. It reduces inflammation, is antimicrobial, and oxidizes slowly because of its high saturated fat content. Coconut oil has also proved to speed wound healing by influencing various aspects of biological activity, including fibroblast proliferation, neovascularisation, and reduced lipid peroxide levels.
