A brave new Salon
After considering your thoughts and those of the team at mien salon spa and mini me salon, we have decided to return to work slowly and cautiously.
As your mien and mini me experience involves being in a close shared environment, we ask that if you are feeling unwell, you please reschedule your appointment to a later date. This will help us maintain the health and wellbeing of all mien and mini me clients and staff.
The Coronavirus (COVID-19)
As the Australian Government continues to develop its emergency response plan now that COVID–19 has become a pandemic, businesses are reminded to revisit their workplace, health and safety (WH&S) obligations.
If you have any concerns about visiting us or another service provider, you can utilise the information released through the Department of Health or the World Health Organisation’s websites. This will advise you on what to expect when visiting any business that has direct contact with the public.
A lot of guests congratulated us on the measures that were present before the lockdown however both mien salon spa and mini me salons have taken this opportunity to refresh our teams on good hygiene practices and precautions. Here's what we have put in place for guests and team members in this brave new salon world.
The team have all completed the Covid-19 infection control training.
We will be operating on reduced days and shorter hours.
We will be trading from Wednesday to Saturday only.
Appointments in the hair salon will be taken on the hour to avoid overlap of guests.
We have purchased enough gowns to allow them to be used only once before being washed.
We will not be providing any complimentary Aveda rituals during this time.
We will not be offering complimentary tidy-ups until the social distancing restrictions have been lifted.
We will restrict the hair basin area to max of 2 guests at once.
We will do everything we can to ensure your service is done as quickly as possible.
We have removed half of the work stations to allow for ample physical distancing.
Operators will wear masks while they work.
We will minimise the time anyone needs to spend in the salon by offering zoom consultations and giving clients the option to come in with washed hair.
There will be no more than 1 person for every 4 meters of space in our ample space.
Hand sanitiser will be available for every guest on arrival.
We will be performing temperature checks on arrival for all guests and staff beginning their shift.
Every station will be disinfected between each service with an alcohol based cleaner and every stylist will sanitise their hands before every guest.
All of our tools will be sanitised with disinfectant between each guest.
Magazines will not be available so If you would like to read something while you visit we recommend you bring a book, magazine or a tablet of your choice.
We will not be serving drinks so please bring your own.
We will replace face brushes to brush away cut hair on your face and neck. Instead we will use disposable sponges for each guest.
Our eftpos machine will be wrapped in new plastic for each guest.
We will do our best to keep the front and courtyard doors open for ventilation in the salon.
We also have some recommendations which we’d like you to consider:
Paying with card instead of cash.
Talking during close contact with your hairdresser will heighten potential transfer of a virus (therefore we like to say more choppy choppy less talky talky).
Please come to your appointment alone as we have strict numbers of people allowed in our space to keep everyone safe.
Please do not bring your kids to your hair appointment.
Please come to your appointment on time and do not arrive early to avoid too many people in the salon at the same time.
Our aim is to completely service one guest and have them leave before the next one enters the salon.
Please come to your appointment with a mask if you have one otherwise we will use a plastic shield when cutting your fringe.
